Cambodia, home to over 16 million people, is a nation rich in history and culture. The official language is Khmer, spoken by the majority of the population, while various indigenous tribes contribute to the nation's diversity. The country’s religious landscape is dominated by Theravada Buddhism, which is followed by approximately 97% of the population. Other religions include Islam (2.1%), Christianity (1%), and a small percentage practicing traditional animist beliefs. Politically, Cambodia is a constitutional monarchy, with a prime minister leading the government, though the country has faced challenges related to corruption and governance. The belief system of the country is deeply rooted in Buddhist values, shaping much of its societal and cultural practices.

From October 15-30, 2024, Evangelist Abraham Thomas, founder of Wisdom For Asia, will lead a missions outreach in Cambodia. During this time, he will meet with key Christian leaders from various provinces and host leadership seminars to empower local pastors and leaders. He will also visit several provinces to witness firsthand the struggles that communities face, including the need for clean water, the state of government schools, and conditions at children's homes. Wisdom For Asia is planning long-term involvement in these provinces, especially in remote areas, aiming to provide critical relief and support to transform both individuals and communities. The outreach seeks not only to meet immediate needs but also to bring lasting change through partnership and compassion.
